Qingdao has a close economic and trade exchanges with Germany. So far, more than 200 German companies and institutions have been settled down in Qingdao, among which there are large global enterprises like Volkswagen, Siemens, Continental, Thyssenkrupp, Bosch, evonik, Knorr, Deutsch Bank and Allianz, also renowned medium-sized enterprises such as Stihl, Siempelkamp, Erringklinger, Recaro, Klingspor and Lemken.
